As I celebrated my birthday, I came to realized I have traveled and hiked for more than what I was dreaming of. I reached those places I once saw on books, movies and even post cards.
Traveling alone or with friends, I learned and gained so many things. Things that changes my perception about life, people. . . Philippines is composed of 7,107 islands and I have no plans of visiting each and every island however as long as I still have the passion to travel and explore, I will never stop.

"May every Sunrise hold more promise and every Sunset hold more peace." Whether it's Sunrise or Sunset, every time I stare at it, it gives me peace. Here's my collection of sunset and sunrise shots Ranked as the 3 toughest mountains in the Philippines. Ranking was based on its Difficulty and Technicality. Also known as the Knife Edge Trilogy in MIMAROPA region. Based on my experiences on the said mountains, 1. Guiting Guiting - This mountain tops my list. The terrain is crazy and yeah difficult. The knife edge is scary compared to the other 2 but the view is amazing. I fond of the Kiss the Wall moments. - The only mountain that I would consider returning. 2. Mantalingajan - G2 like terrain going to summit and a very long traverse side. Exposure to the Palaweños tribe (Tau't Bato or Tau't Daram) is what this mountain can offer. 3. Halcon - Fantastic 360 view of Mindoro from summit is what I love about this mountain. These three mountains are YES very challenging and worthy of visiting. All three are rated 9/9 based on its difficulty level. Try one, try all and let me know which one you loved the best.
PACKERS, together with its friends brought something to the children of Mampueng. A day of laughter, medical and dental assistance and some soup with bread to fill those hungry little tummies after a day of fun.

Carrot Peak - Location: Mt. Tenglawan, Bakun Benguet Conquering the top most portion of these monoliths is not just an indicator that your climb ends...... It's a trophy, your reward. I once set foot on these rocks........surely, you too can..... :) ABORT. a word I associate to Mr. Dismay, an action I dare not to partake. High expectation mixed with enthusiasm then all of a sudden aborting the entire hike? You really know how to break someone's heart... Mt. Tapulao : Bislig River :: Where are the Crags? If I could erase one hiking experience... please take this.... Where are the Crags? I couldn't say more...... took a wrong turn, misled, miscommunicated, misinformation, missed the summit. What went wrong? Everything..... Charge to Experience. Mt. Tarak : Papaya River :: Ferocious Habagat Weather wise? never expected Habagat sometimes assumes he is a typhoon or an LPA. Rain poured mid day 'til the next day..... non stop. Such a Bed day weather.... another zero possibility of getting a summit view, I opted to enjoy the cold water of Papaya River...then coiled in sleep inside my tent. Few hours after we left Bataan, the area was then flooded as reported. Sta. Ines : Mt. Tukduan Banoi - Mt. Irid :: Battlefield After several river cross and hours of travel the supposed to be a back-to-back Mt. Irid and Mt. Tukduan Banoi climb got aborted. The mountains mentioned became the battle field between Philippine Military and NPA that day. Cause: Lack of clear communication between the Brgy. Captain and the Hired Jeepney Driver.... or ... hmmm? Mt. Cristobal :: Misty Cristy Covered with fog after an overnight heavy rain, cancelled our hike all the way up to Mt. Cristobal's summit. Just a few minutes meters away from its peak, Cristy cloaked herself and hide from us the entire morning. Seeing zero possibility to summit it, the group decided to packed up and descend. This was the first time a mountain broke my heart |
