Boracay actually never enters my bucket list of places I want to visit. For me, this place is over rated, too commercialize, too broadcasted.
I got the chance to visit the place after bumping a discounted fare posted online. Though I got a Php 1,500.00 round- trip fare, it was a tiring trip.
Manila- Kalibo- Caticlan- Boracay and versa was my route, the price of getting a very cheap plane ticket.
Boracay is an all-in package Island. White and very fine sand, olong- stretch and a very clean shoreline perfect for strolling.
While bars of all sort lined up in the beach front from Station 1 to 3. Food stalls, Pizza place, local and International Restos and Snack bars were present.
The beach is well managed, based on my observation. Proper and evenly distributed space between the establishment and the beach to prevent owners from expanding its area to the shoreline.
I felt excited than scared and as we elevated and the boat sailed, everyone became miniature. Hanging in there while watching fellow "Parasailers", savoring the view.... it was a carefree feeling even for 30 mins.
One day, I'll visit Boracay again and that time I'll spend more time on the beach itself. Puka beach perhaps for a quieter venue.
