Wall : Holy Water February 5 was supposed to be my day hike climb to Mt. Cristobal when a friend of mine posted a link on FB that another batch, organized by Makiling Rock Group, was opened for Rock Climbing activites. I've been eying for rock climbing activities before, last Sunday was indeed the answer. I joined the batch of 12 participants, we were part of the Book 12 event since they open such outdoor activities almost every week. There were 3 kids (aged 8 -11 I think) Hanz, son of Sir Levy (Organizer) Sultan and Jian, both kids of the participants. The Gears We started the day with orientation, special instructions and several equipments were introduced and how important these equipments during the climb. After the short orientation, we hiked towards the venue. Rock formations with 90 degrees walled the area and we need to climb up to reach the exact venue for the Rock climb.

Silanguin Cove from Campsite Everyone was exhausted yet we still managed to push ourselves to continue the trek. Silanguin Cove can be seen throughout the Mt. We reached the Cove late afternoon yet we need to walk additional miles para sa resort kung saan kami magstastay for the night. The cove was very quite, hindi pa masyado nacocommercialize kaya kunti pa ang tao na pumupunta as compared to Anawangin. My co-NetSuite (eCommerce Support) had our Team Building sa White Beach, Puerto Galera in Mindoro. A budget of 2,000.00 per head, covered na ang transportation from Manila to Batangas Port, Ferry to Puerto Galera, Room, Dinner and Lunch. A 2 - hour Ceres Bus ride from Gil Puyat (formerly buendia) to Batangas Port then another 1 hour Father & Son Line Ferry ride to White Sand Puerto Galera. Along the coastline of Puerto Galera, you will see a lot of resorts offering from the cheapest to expensive accomodations. Yacht can also be seen and among others. We stayed sa Manolo Resort, located sa may looban. Buhay na buhay ang gabi sa Puerto Galera at sobrang daming tao, locals and foreigners converge sa area to celebrate and enjoy the everning. What I enjoyed the most during our 2 days stay sa Galera was the performances ng mga Fire Dancers. Amazed by there performances talaga ako, napakadelikado yet they were able to showcase their talent smoothly. Maraming pwedeng gawin sa Puerto Galera, from Trekking to Banana boat ride, dahil kunti lang ang oras namin doon, hindi ko masyado na explore ang Galera as a whole at doon lang kami nagfocus sa beach area. I am not a beach person kaya hindi ko masyado naenjoy ang lakad na to. Too crowded ang area. I guess hindi ako pangganitong venue. :P
Traversing Mt. Manalmon going down para magspelunking sa Bayukbok Cave was not that easy, aside sa maputik pa din ang area, this time mas exposed sa araw kasi wala masyadong shades from the trees. To shorten the trail going back sa Taining Camp ng mga Guide, si Manong Mario checked the river if passable since malakas ang current, suddenly he came back and advised us not to cross the river then when we're about to continue the trek, we heard voices sa may river. So we stopped and saw a group of mountaineers din na magcrocross sa river.
After the successful river-cross moment, we're on our way to Madlum Cave na. I had my 2-Days Adventure @ Anawangin Cove with my former Officemates (SeaChange Inc.) and friends last September 10 - 11, 2011. Thanks to Wheng, our eventologist, for planning, catering and entertaining the entire group. Anawangin Cove can be reached either Trekking or Boat Ride. Since ako ang pinakahuling lalabas ng office we decided to choose the latter option kasi tustado kami if we push through sa Trekking. It was almost quarter to 8:00 in the morning ng makaalis kami ng Quezon City, we rented a Van para mas comfortable ang travel. Mahaba haba din ang travel papuntang Brgy. Pundaquit, San Antonio Zambales. Reaching the jumpoff point and it was breathtaking na, maybe because I am not a beach-type of a person, pero from where we stand makikita mo na ang Capones and Camara Island. Going to Anawangin Cove was amazing, makikita mo yung Walls ng Rock Formations aged through times. It was a long boat trip, pero masaya kasi it was my first time to visit the place so parati akong nagaanticipate kung ano ang makikita ahead. Bacolod City, The Sugar bowl of the Philippines. August 6 came, pagkaout sa office....kinuha ang bag na naglalaman ng dalawang shorts and 3 shirts at iba pang kailangang gamit then off to NAIA Terminal 3 for departure. Solo Flight, Solo Travel. Arrived at Silay Airport almost 12 noon. I took a Van going to Bacolod City, 100 pesos ang fare.
Saltimboca Pension is located sa 15th Lacson St. I rented a single AR room for 600.00 pesos (2D1N). The room was almost perfect for me kasi ang purpose lang naman talaga noon ay mapagiwanan lang ng gamit at matulogan. AR, cable TV at mayroong Hot&Cold water kaya ok na. What's the best thing to do when you're on vacation.......... back in your hometown? Adventure Ride with Friends....... yahooo... Every December of every year nauuwi ako sa amin sa Cagayan de Oro City for holiday vacations. This time medyo mahaba haba ang nafile kong leave kaya I had more time to spent with family and friends. Bihira lang nagkakaroon ng chance that me and my ComSci classmates had "get-together" activities. After a short dinner sa Yellow Cab, Limketkai branch, we decided na maexperience ang Zipline Adventure sa Bukidnon. Early next day, kanya kanyang dala ng bag with abubots inside (water, chichiria, phones, cameras, etc). Had a breakfast sa Sunburst then off to the terminal going to Bukidnon. We hired a Van and kunting haggle ng price we ended paying less than the usual price. Ang bait ni Manong Driver. sidetrip Kilala ang Bukidnon as the Pineapple Hub sa Northern Mindanao so expect a vast pineapple plantation along the way. |
